About
The TV tracker built for fans who actually care.
Episodes is a free app for tracking TV shows and anime — episode by episode. Rate what you watch, follow friends, and discover your next obsession.
Important notice
Episodes does not host, stream, distribute, or provide access to any copyrighted content. We are a personal tracking and journaling tool — similar to Letterboxd for movies. All show titles, metadata, and poster images displayed in the app are sourced exclusively from The Movie Database (TMDB) via their public API, used in compliance with their Terms of Use. Users track shows they watch on their own streaming services; Episodes provides no mechanism to access, download, or share any video or audio content.
What is Episodes?
Episodes is a personal TV show and anime tracker for Android and the web. Think of it as your viewing journal — a place to record which episodes you’ve watched, rate them on a 1–5 star scale, write notes, and see what friends are watching.
We built Episodes because other tracking apps treat shows as a single checkbox. You mark a show as “watched” and that’s it. Episodes goes deeper: you can rate every single episode, track your progress mid-season, and look back at exactly when a show won you over — or lost you.
What Episodes is NOT
- Not a streaming service. Episodes does not stream, host, or provide any video content. There is no player, no stream links, and no video files of any kind.
- Not a piracy site. Episodes does not link to, facilitate, or enable unauthorized access to any copyrighted material. We comply fully with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
- Not an aggregator of pirated links. Episodes shows where to legally watch a title (e.g., Netflix, Max, Hulu) via TMDB’s watch provider data — we link directly to official streaming platforms only.
- Not a social media platform with user-uploaded content. Users submit only their own ratings and text reviews. No media files, no video, no audio.
How show data works
All show metadata displayed in Episodes — titles, episode names, descriptions, air dates, poster images, cast information, and streaming availability — is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB), a free and open community database.
We use TMDB’s public API in compliance with their terms of use. TMDB metadata and imagery are either public domain, licensed for API use, or uploaded to TMDB by their community under TMDB’s own terms. We do not reproduce, redistribute, or host any TMDB content beyond API-fetched display within our app.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
